Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Scicli

Meeting between the participants and the private driver in place and time to be agreed. Departure for the visit of the splendid places that characterize the gresus. The first stop on the tour will be Ragusa Ibla, whose historic center offers a glimpse of Sicily which is now very difficult to find. The symbol of the city is the Cathedral of S. Giorgio, adjacent to the Iblei Gardens where it is possible to admire three churches. The visit continues to Piazza Pola, Piazza Duomo with its marvelous Baroque façade and the neoclassical dome of S. Giorgio. At the end of the visit we will move to Modica, located between two quarries, on the bed of a river buried in the last century. Baroque pearl, it is famous for its architecture, for chocolate and for having given birth to the Nobel prize for literature Salvatore Quasimodo. After a stop for lunch, we will move to Scicli, a magnificent baroque city whose shapes resemble those of a nativity scene. Made known thanks to the fiction of the "Commissario Montalbano", it boasts two masterpieces of human creative genius: via Mormino Penna and Palazzo Beneventano, defined as the most beautiful baroque palace in Sicily, with its characteristic masks. La prima tappa del tour sarà Ragusa Ibla, il cui centro storico offre uno scorcio della Sicilia che ora è molto difficile da trovare. Il simbolo della città è la Cattedrale di S. Giorgio, adiacente ai Giardini Iblei dove è possibile ammirare tre chiese. Alla fine della visita ci sposteremo a Modica, situata tra due cave, sul letto di un fiume sepolto nel secolo scorso. Perla barocca, è famosa per la sua architettura, per il cioccolato e per aver dato alla luce il premio Nobel per la letteratura Salvatore Quasimodo. Dopo una sosta per il pranzo, ci sposteremo a Scicli, una magnifica città barocca le cui forme ricordano quelle di un presepe. Reso noto grazie alla finzione del "Commissario Montalbano", vanta due capolavori del genio creativo umano: via Mormino Penna e Palazzo Beneventano.
